Outdoor Celebration of Spring at City Hall Plaza

On Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22, there will be a 2-day Earth Day celebration in the City of Poughkeepsie, celebrating the city’s diversity and biodiversity. This community event is being organized by volunteers and supported by the City of Poughkeepsie. On Friday, April 21, join us for an outdoor celebration on City Hall Plaza featuring an acoustic performance by Grammy-nominated, Blues Hall of Fame artist Joe Louis Walker with Murali Coryell. Enjoy music, info tables (look for the Environmental Cooperative!), food trucks, and free bicycle repairs. Sign-up for city-wide cleanups happening the next day, on Earth Day.

On Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 2017, there will be an 8-Ward citywide cleanup taking place from 10 am - 12 noon. Check here to sign up and see specific locations. Or join the Mayor's 7-Minute Cleanup Challenge and sweep in front of your own home! After the cleanup, participate in Poughkeepsie's March for Science.
